I'm working on it. So far I've gotten Wesnoth to see that the sidhe exist (still doesn't see the other factions) but now it can't find the unit files… I'm going to have a progress bar that I will update whenever I make a major breakthrough.
EDIT: Yay of ascii art?

Ooookkkaayy. This is taking much longer than expected. I've been able to make Wesnoth see the eras and factions but I'm still having trouble with making it see the units. I'm also having a bug where it doesn't show the image for the orcei and the caverni.
Updated progress:

EDIT: Major bugs fixed and sidhe faction now fully playable (but for some reason wesnoth thinks they're lavinians… hmmm…) _________________ I'm not gone, I just read but have nothing to say. What you might call a "forum lurker" |

Forgot to post that it's now entirely playable, and on the 1.7 server. _________________ I'm not gone, I just read but have nothing to say. What you might call a "forum lurker" |

Thanks again for updating IE.
I can't help but wonder, though, whether it will be possible to also update the Feudal Era and the Wild Era. Any thoughts? _________________ Est sapor et in paucis. -- Tertullian |

I've converted Fall of Silvium on my pc to be runnable using your version of 1.8 there, Peter. Despite having no skill in coding whatsoever, there was very little to change (mostly just the paths of campagins to add-ons). It seems to play the way I remember it in 1.6, which is nice.
My plans are to make the same changes to all the IE campaigns so that I can play them in my new version of Wesnoth. Once I've playtested to ensure I've got rid of most of the new bugs, should I be trying to re-release these to the 1.8 add-ons server so that players with the new version can still enjoy these excellent campaigns? If so, I have no idea how to go about that. Any help? |

Hey! Glad to see someone else is doing this! Unfortunately I haven't gotten around to doing anything past Imperial Era itself (and that kinda buggy) because of real life, but please go ahead and update as many campaigns as you feel ready to do. I think you're asking for instructions on loading it to the add-on server? If so, this and this will help. _________________ I'm not gone, I just read but have nothing to say. I was just thinking of doing this a few weeks ago... only I had APś then. :/ I ended up downloading it and running wmllint on it (i.e. all of Orbivm)... then the hard drive crashed, and I lost interest. It appears the SVN went down in that time too... ah well.
Anyway... count me in, and I´m planning on updating some Sidhe graphics too (we´ll see if I can still do pixel art). I´ll definitely be around lots next week... first to get these SAT II´s out of the way. _________________ Then take me disappearin' through the smoke rings of my mind,

The haunted, frightened trees, out to the windy beach,
Far from the twisted reach of crazy sorrow. |
